I am the Poj Masta.
You say it like “Podge Master”.
My real name is George, but everyone calls me Poj.
I am 22.
I come from the mean streets of Islington.
I’ve been making noises for people to dance to for a good 5 years now.
I’ve played records at the Egg, 333, Fabric, Herbal, 93 Feet East in London, The Concorde2 in Brighton and the Secret Garden Festival.
I’ve shared the bill with people like Simian Mobile Disco, Herve, New Young Pony Club, Andy C, Pendulum and loads more. But I don’t think I’m very similar to them.
Eddy on XFM’s The Remix got me in to do a Superchunk (30 minute mix) at the ripe old age of 17.
I have been called “complete cool” by the Observer Music Monthly, “the next aphex twin” and even “the Mozart of our time”. Ridiculous eh?
Last year, i got to the final of the Lovebox (Groove Armada’s festival) DJ competition.
I am currently working on a computer game project which will, with any luck, be huge. Watch this space for news on that.
